Noota stores data in Belgium, Netherlands, and France (Scaleway/Bleu) with ISO 27001 certification and zero model training.

Bot or no bot

Both tools record without a bot. The difference is what is kept.

Granola's macOS, Windows, iOS and Android apps capture your audio locally and delete the raw audio right after transcription, keeping only the transcript and your notes.

Noota's Desktop app (macOS and Windows) captures your computer's audio on Pro, Business and Enterprise, so no bot appears in the participant list, and keeps the complete audio file with speaker turns and notes. A meeting bot is also available. Tell participants you are recording, as with any tool.

What is the main difference between Noota and Granola?

Both tools record without a bot. Granola deletes the raw audio right after transcription and keeps only the transcript and your notes. Noota keeps the complete audio file, supports uploads up to 4 GB on paid plans (we did not find file uploads in Granola's published materials), and offers ISO 27001 certification and EU data hosting. Granola has a lower list price (Business $14 per user per month) and lists SOC 2 Type II.

Which meeting platforms and languages does Noota support?

The Noota Desktop app, available on the Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, captures audio from Zoom, Google Meet and Teams on macOS and Windows without a bot, and a meeting bot is also available for Meet, Teams and Zoom. Transcription is available in 50+ languages, and recordings can run up to 10 hours, with files up to 4 GB.

How do Noota and Granola compare on pricing?

List prices: Noota Free, Pro €19 annual (€29 monthly) and Business €39 annual (€49 monthly) per user per month, excl. VAT. Granola: Basic $0 (30 days of meeting history), Business $14 per user per month billed monthly (we did not find an annual option) and Enterprise $35. For 5 users over 12 months, Granola Business is $840 and Noota Pro is €1,140 on annual billing or €1,740 on monthly billing. Currencies are not converted; Granola's list price is lower.

Where is meeting data stored, and does either tool train on my data?

Noota processes data in the European Union on Google Cloud (Belgium and Netherlands), offers a sovereign environment on Scaleway (Paris) and Bleu (Enterprise) and does not train AI models on customer data on any plan. Granola hosts on AWS in the United States, and we did not find European hosting options. Its third-party model providers are contractually prohibited from training on your data; on Basic and Business, Granola may use de-identified meeting data for its own models unless you turn off "Use my data to improve models for everyone" in Settings > Preferences, and this is off by default on Enterprise.

Does Granola support more languages than Noota?

Granola lists multi-language support on every plan but its pricing page doesn't name the languages, so we can't compare counts. Noota transcribes in 50+ languages.
